Marketing & Audience Engagement
Branding
I made this in the beginning of the year to establish the new "look" of The Muse. Since taking up this role at the end of last year, we knew we wanted to try new things as a newsmagazine and cater more to our art school audience. To us, this meant a fun masthead and more experimentation with graphics. I was able to take everything my Co-EIC, the managing editors, and I discussed we wanted and flesh it out through this mood board. Now, it serves as a reminder of our aesthetic. Having an established look was a big priority for me this year because I wanted the publication to be memorable and easily recognized.
Promoting our work!
My Co-EIC and I went on the morning announcements to film a "takeover." This was meant to promote our distribution party at lunch that day and entice people to read our first issue. Getting creative with how we interact with the student body is very important to establish ourselves as a reliable presence on campus.
